KATHMANDU: UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' who is on a visit to India held talks with chairman of the Janata Dal United, Sharad Yadav.
On the occasion, Chairman Prachanda, said an Interim Electoral Council of Ministers had been formed under chief justice leadership and it will hold elections in the slated timeframe, Prachanda's aide Shiva Khakurel told.
Stating that major political parities were committed to holding elections, Chairman Prachanda said there should be important cooperation of the Indian leaders and people for the same.
He said there should be no distrust of any kind towards UCPN-Maoist and that his goal was for making Nepal prosperous and strong economically.
Referring to the course of action of the Capitalist Peoples' Democracy revolution by the seventh national congress of UCPN-Maoist, he said the agenda of economic revolution was put forth to institutionalize the changes brought about from the political revolution.
On the occasion, Chairman of Janata Dal United, Yadav assured that they would provide all possible help on their behalf for the stability of Nepal.
He said the Indian political parties, government and all concerned will be cooperative in the Constituent Assembly (CA) elections to be held in the near future in Nepal.
Yadav pointed out the need to bring to the fold the dissenting political parties into confidence to hold the election.
He said his party had taken positively the call by Prachanda for economic development and prosperity by doing away with Nepal's poverty, inequality and unemployment.
