KATHMANDU: Emergency central committee meeting of the Unified CPN-Maoist scheduled for today has been postponed due to the hectic schedule of the party leadership and delay in forging consensus on the outstanding issues of the new constitution.
The party establishment had summoned an emergency meeting for today to discuss on the pending issues of new constitution among other things.
Party spokesperson Dinanath Sharma said the meeting was postponed since the leaders were busy negotiating over contentious issues of the new constitution. Sharma said the meeting would be held on Wednesday at 11 am at the party headquarters.
According to a politburo member Haribol Gajurel – close to Pushpa Kamal Dahal – Dahal would brief the CC about the latest political developments, positions of the parties and the next move of the party.
