UCPN-Maoist Central Committee to be dissolved

KATHMANDU: The UCPN-Maoist Central Committee is getting dissolved and a committee will be formed to organise the party's general convention, a party source said.
Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal is expected to announce the CC dissolution and the general convention date at the concluding session of the party's ongoing plenum at Bhrikutimandap in a while.
It is expected that the general convention will be held in the Nepali month of Magh (January/February 2013).
After Maoist Vice Chairmen duo Narayan Kaji Shrestha and Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, Chairman Dahal is addressing the plenum.
Meanwhile, the party has postponed the press conference scheduled for today by a day.
The press conference will be held at the party headquarters in Peris Danda at 3 pm tomorrow to brief the media about the plenum's decision.
