UML for people's multi-party democracy says Oli

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML Standing Committee member KP Sharma Oli has said the People's Multi-Party Democracy was the directive policy and principle of the party.
Addressing a programme organised on the eve of the 19th memorial day of party's the then General Secretary Madan Kumar Bhandari and Organisation Department Chief Jeevraj Ashrit in the Capital on Tuesday, leader Oli claimed that the UML had not moved even an inch away from the principle of the People's Multi-Party Democracy.
Party senior leaders Bhandari and Ashrit had died in a jeep accident on May 16, 1993 at Dashdunga in Chitwan.
Also speaking at the programme, Chairman of the Madan Ashrit Memorial Academy Pradeep Nepal and Kathmandu district president of the party, Nirmal Kuinkel stressed that the party should always move ahead, adhering to the principles of People's Multi-Party Democracy propounded by the late leader Bhandari.
