KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has nominated nine leaders to be inducted in the party’s Central Committee to fill the vacant posts.
Some CC posts were lying vacant since a couple of months following the departure of some Janajati leaders including Vice Chairman Ashok Rai.
The standing committee meeting held on Monday approved names of nine leaders to be inducted into the party’s CC, Secretary of UML's Publicity Department Surya Thapa told THT Online.
According to Thapa, Sanu Shrestha of Kathmandu, Chandra Bahadur Shahi of Mugu, Sherdhan Rai and Rajendra Rai of Bhojpur, Ram Mandal of Mahottari, Ganesh Kamnang of Panchthar, Yak Bahadur Rana of Tanahun, Sher Bahadur Tamang of Sindhupalchowk, and Keshav Shrestha of Chitwan are the recommended names for the party’s CC.
The party has also decided to bestow the CC membership to former Speaker Subash Nembang and secretary at the party’s organization department Gyan Bhujel.
