KATHMANDU: US Embassy today announced two recipients of the Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP) in Nepal.
Kathmandu Valley Preservation Trust will get additional $205,000 grant for restoration and conservation of the 17th century Patan Royal Palace. The second grant — $75,300 goes to Alliance for Ecotourism to preserve the Kartik Naach tradition.
Established in 2001, AFCP helps preserve cultural sites, objects and expressions in the world.
