I am a former federal government police officer. I used to work at a government hospital, and stuff like this ultrasound machine have been stolen from hospitals from around the world. Stealing medical equipment frtom hospitals and other medical facilities has been a problem for a number of years. The problem seems to have started in the U.S. around the mid 1990's and continued for a number of years. Then it fell off. But it still takes place in Africa, Asia, and some European countries. There is a market for this stuff. It may that a doctor wanted it for his own private practice. Patrick Kerrigan, Oak Lawn, IL. USA
