Veteran leader blames short-sightedness for statute fiasco

SAPTARI: Senior republican leader Ram Raja Prasad Singh has said that leaders' lack of farsightedness was to blame for the dissolution of the Constituent Assembly (CA).
Talking to media persons at his residence in Rajbiraj today, the veteran republican leader said that republic constitution could not promulgated due to lack of leaders' and lawmakers' farsightedness though the republic was formally declared in the country.
Singh further said that Nepali people now would have gotten the new constitution if the leaders were united by rising above of personal interests and greed for power.
