DADELDHURA: Ganesh Bhat of Kataujapani in Baitadi on Monday brutally thrashed Dhana Bista (25) for failing to compensate maize crops damaged by her goats. Critically injured Dhana was sent to Dadeldhura-based Team Hospital. Hospital sources said Dhana’s condition was critical. Police is yet to arrest the perpetrator.

Man burnt alive

RAJBIRAJ: Siphiddin Khatun (75) was burnt alive on Tuesday in a fire that broke out at Launiya, Saptari, police said. Khatun’s body has been brought to the Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital, Rajbiraj, for post-mortem, informed police.

Two died in road accident

POKHARA: Two people died in road accident on Wednesday at 10 am after a microbus hit pedestrians in Kaski. Swastika Jugjali (80) of Magdi and Binod Pandey (20), helper of microbus, of Hemja died in the accident. Jugjali took her last breath on the way to the Western Zonal Hospital, while Pandey breathed his last when he was being treated in the Manipal Teaching Hospital, said police.
