Workers on fast-un-to death over bonus row

NAWALPARASI: Labourers working at CG Foods Pvt Ltd under Chaudhary Group based in Dumkauli have been staging a fast-un-to death for the past two days to pile pressure on the concerned administration to settle their bonus related demands.
As many as 13 staffs of the company are staging a hunger strike since yesterday demanding determination of bonus as per the production rate of the company.
They are agitated due to the unilateral decision of the company management while determining bonus of the Fiscal Year 2068-69.
The workers resorted to the hunger strike after the negotiation between the representatives of the workers and the company management hit a snag. The company had been providing bonus to the workers annually, said a negotiation team member Ishwor Jang Thapa.
The activists said the protest would continue until the demands are met.
