BIRGUNJ: Rural Youth Self-Employment Livestock Development Programme operated in Parsa, targeting the rural youths from the poor economic community has been effective.
The government has allocated Rs. 1,018,000 this year for running the programme introduced with a view to addressing the increasing problem of unemployment in the district.
The programme is implemented by the District Livestock Service Office, Parsa.A total of 30 people in between 18 and 40 years of age from 10 rural VDCS in the district including Bairiyabirta, Bhauratar and Deurwana are included in the programme, said Office Chief Uday Pratap Singh.
Animal rearing, poultry farming and piggery are the sectors of priority of the programme and the people included in it received Rs. 30,000 each, it is learnt.
