SALYAN: Youths of Salyan district today chanted slogans in the district headquarters Khalanga in favour of an undivided Salyan.
In the course of their protest they burnt tires and stopped vehicular movement in the morning. In the afternoon, they took out a mass rally from Khalanga Bus Park demanding that nothing less than an undivided Salyan is acceptable to them.
They said that they would picket the government offices from Sunday as mark of protest.
Meanwhile, six political parties of the district presenting the joint memorandum to the CDO said they would try fight for an undivided Salyan in the restructuring of the state. The debate started after the Salyan district was found divided in the new federal model published in some media reports on May 16.
