KATHMANDU: A person was injured after the car he was travelling in met with an accident in Koteshwar of Kathmandu on Monday morning.

The injured has been identified as Ganesh Prasad Adhikari (27) of Banepa in Kavrepalanchok district, currently residing in Kageshwari Manahara Municipality-9 of Kathmandu.

According to police, the incident occurred when the car (Ba 9 Cha 2644) collided with stationary trucks (Na 2 Kha 9568) and (Na 3 Kha 9995) at 3:00 am today.

Injured Adhikari was rushed to the Sinamangal-based Kathmandu Medical College where he has been undergoing treatment.

It has been learnt that the car driver Raj Kumar Humagain of Manahar in Kathmandu was driving under the influence of alcohol.

Meanwhile, Koteshwar-based Metropolitan Police Sector has detained the car driver involved in the accident for further investigation, said police.
