1 killed, another injured in Balaju bike accident

KATHMANDU: A person died and another sustained injuries after the motorcycle they were travelling on met with an accident in Balaju Chok of Kathmandu on Wednesday night.

The deceased has been identified as motorcyclist Sunil Pudasaini (21) of Belkotgadhi Municipality-3 and injured as pillion rider Nawaraj Mudbhari of Belkotgadhi Municipality-5 in Nuwakot district, currently residing in Kalanki of Kathmandu.

According to police, the incident occurred when the motorcycle (Ba 79 Pa 7811) lost its control and fell on the road at 12:15 am yesterday, injuring the duo.

The critically injured Pudasaini was rushed to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj where he succumbed to his injuries during the course of treatment, informed police.

Meanwhile, Mudbhari has been undergoing treatment at the Naya Bazaar-based People's Medical College, according to police.

Further investigation into the case is underway.
