KATHMANDU: Police on Friday arrested 12 persons in possession of around 90 grams of a metal looking like gold.

The detainees had landed at the Tribhuvan International Airport from Dubai of the United Arab Emirates via a Fly Dubai flight.

A team deployed from the TIA Customs Office had found the yet-to-be-identified metal with them during a regular checking.

The metal has been kept at the Customs Office, while six of the arrestees are at the custody of Metropolitan Police Circle, Gaushala.

Other six are taken to the Metropolitan Police Range, Koteshwor for further investigation.
