KATHMANDU: The 37th National Education Day and International Literacy Day-2016 is being observed across the country by organising various programmes today.

The programmes are being organised by a special committee chaired by Minister for Education Dhaniram Paudel with the theme 'Investment in useful education for the building of prosperous nation.'

On this occasion, President Bidya Devi Bhandari conferred the 'Nepal Bidya Bhushan' (A, B and C grades) and 'Nepal Chhatra Bidya Padak' on various students nominated for those education awards.

Similarly, on this occasion, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is scheduled to honour outstanding students from both the private and community schools.
