Aryal’s anthology

KATHMANDU: Senior journalist Kundan Aryal’s book ‘Raktapatko Ek Dasak, Jawafdehita Kasko?’ (One decade of bloodshed: Whose responsibility?) was launched in the capital on Thursday. Some one-and-a-half dozen leading cases of serious human rights violations during the decade-long Maoist insurgency from 1996 to 2006 have been detailed in the book. Speaking at the book launch, Aryal said the book investigates serious rights violation cases involving both the security forces and the Maoists. Prof P Kharel said the book was a comprehensive account of some brutal incidents that took place during the conflict. The book is written after a thorough research and investigation, he said.
