KATHMANDU: A man, who was found unconscious near Makalu Petrol Pump in Kalanki, KMC-14, died in Hospital on Sunday, police said.

Police identified the deceased as 43-year-old Krishna Prasad Gautam of Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City-13 in Rupandehi district.

After receiving information about Gautam's condition, a police team deployed from Kalimati-based Metropolitan Police Circle had rushed the victim to the nearby Shahid Memorial Hospital in Kalanki for treatment, police said.

However, Gautam died during the course of treatment at the same hospital, according to police.

Meanwhile, police said they are investigating into the case.
