Cash stolen from Oman Air office

KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu office of Oman Air in Naxal, KMC-1, has been burgled by an unidentified gang of thieves on Saturday.

Police said the criminals barged into the office in Narayanchaur, Naxal and stole Rs 116,724 cash from a drawer of the accounts section.

Meanwhile, thefts at two unattended rented rooms were reported to police on Friday.

Property worth Rs 150,000 including gold jewelleries and Rs 50,000 cash was stolen from the room of Devi Malla in Bijeshwori, KMC-15 yesterday.

The thieves had entered into the room and made off with the valuables from the cupboard while the occupant, a permanent resident of Thakuri-7 of Kavre, was at the bathroom, police said.

In the similar case, Rs 30,000 cash and gold and ornaments worth Rs 79,000 were stolen from the rented room of Sarita Maharjan in Ota, Mahalaxmisthan Municipality-15 of Lalitpur yesterday.

Police are looking into all cases while they have also launched manhunts to nab the suspects.
