Chinese PM Li congratulates Oli

Kathmandu, October 12

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang today congratulated Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli on his election as prime minister of the Government of Nepal.

In a message, Li of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, on behalf of the Chinese government and people, as well as in his name, extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Oli on his assumption of the prime ministership of Nepal. Premier Li said in his message that China and Nepal are close and amicable neighbours and bilateral relations have been tested through long-time adversity. Stating that the two countries have always been mutually supporting the major issues of each other’s concerns, Li expressed the belief that under Oli’s leadership, Nepal will make new achievements in the process of maintaining national stability and promoting economic development.

He stated that he would cooperate with Oli to continuously push forward the China-Nepal comprehensive cooperative partnership.
