Constitution amendment in consensus of ruling parties: PM

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal said that all the issues regarding the Constitution amendment would be finalised only after holding talks with political parties in the government.

PM Dahal said so while addressing a delegation representing the Indigenous Nationalities National Movement led by civil society leader Padma Ratna Tuladhar at Baluwatar in Kathmandu on Sunday.

The delegation, handing over a memorandum to PM, had demanded that the government register a 10-province proposal based on the report presented by the then State Restructuring Committee of the first Constituent Assembly and the State Restructuring Commission.

The team drew attention of the CPN Maoist Centre Chairman and PM Dahal to solving the delineation issue by establishing a powerful commission if it was not possible to follow the previous reports.
