Donation to PMDRF

KATHMANDU: Karmapa Khenno Foundation (Hong Kong) on Thursday donated 150,000 US$ to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund for the support of earthquake victims. KKF with the help of Karmapa Sewa Samaj, Boudha, has been carrying out relief work in different villages in Sindhupalchowk and Kavre, two of the major quake-hit districts, for the past three months. KKF, Hong Kong is a religious foundation and centre of His holiness 17th Karmapa Urgyen Thinley Dorji. According to KKF, His holiness 17th karmapa Urgyen Thinley Dorji who has many monasteries in Nepal, advised all his followers and monks to dedicate themselves to help and support those who were hard-struck due to the devastating earthquake of April 25 and the subsequent aftershocks in earthquake affected areas.
