DPM Pokhrel to officiate PM's duties during Oli's China visit

KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister Ishwar Pokhrel will look after the administrative duties of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, as the acting PM, during the latter's visit to the People's Republic of China.

Prime Minister Oli handed over his responsibilities to DPM Pokhrel, who is also a Defense Minister in the Cabinet, before leaving for a six day offical visit to China.

Likewise, Madhav Nepal will undertake responsibilities of the party chairperson while Subash Nembag will officiate tasks of parliamentary party leader.

Oli left for China on Tuesday morning, accepting an invitation extended by his counterpart Li Keqiang.
