UPDATE: Police said that 19-year-old Rahul Sah Teli was fatally hit by a passenger bus, not truck as earlier reported. The registration of the vehicle, however, is same.

Early morning truck hit kills youth in Suryabinayak

KATHMANDU: A youth, who was critically injured in a truck-motorcycle collision in Suryabinayak of Bhaktapur district, succumbed to injuries on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Rahul Sah Teli (19) of Parsa district, currently studying at the Golden Gate International College in Battisputali, Kathmandu.

Teli breathed his last during treatment at the Madhyapur Hospital in Thimi, Bhaktapur.

The incident occurred when the bike (Ba 35 Pa 5255), heading towards Jagati from Suryabinayak, collided head-on with the truck (Ba 2 Kha 3606) coming from the opposite direction, critically injuring the rider at around 5:45 am today.

Police have impounded the truck and arrested its driver for further investigation.
