Three dead, five injured in separate vehicle collisions

NAWALPARASI/CHITWAN: Three persons were killed and one person has sustained critical injuries after two motorbikes collided in Bardaghat Municipality of Nawalparasi on Saturday.

According to Police, a motorbike (Lu 37 pa 1570) heading from north to south at Triveni road section in Bardghat collided with another motorbike (Lu 10 pa 4435) coming from opposite direction killing two persons at the spot. Meanwhile, a person was pronounced dead en route to the hospital.

The deceased have been identified as 21-year-old Santosh Neupane, 18-year-old Ashish GC and 18-year-old Ajit Singh Thakuri of Bardaghat Municipality.

The injured, 23-year-old Raj Kumar GC of Bardaghat Municpality-14 is undergoing treatment at Butwal and is out of danger, police said.

Citing the eye witnesses, police informed that the motorbikes were over-speeding prior to collision.

Similarly, four persons have sustained critical injuries after a car collided head-on with a truck at Gaighat along the Narayngadh-Muglin road section on Saturday.

According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, the car, Ga 2 Cha 476 en route to Muglin from Narayangadh collided with a truck bearing registration Na 4 Kha 2202 coming from opposite direction injuring four persons.

The critically injured, 22-year-old Binod Shrestha, Suraj Kunwar (26), Anjan Kunwar (22) of Gorkha Municipality-9 and 33-year-old Min Shakya of Lalitpur are undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College and Teaching Hospital, Bharatpur.
