Khadka challenges his dismissal in SC

Kathmandu, September 20

Gopal Bahadur Khadka today filed a writ petition at the Supreme Court challenging his dismissal from the post of Executive Director of Nepal Oil Corporation.

The government had dismissed Khadka on Monday after a parliamentary panel wrote to the Ministry of Supplies to sack Khadka for his alleged role in buying land plots for NOC storage centres in four districts at rates four times higher than the market price.

Khadka stated in his petition that he was appointed on January 27, 2015 for a term of four years, but the government sacked him without giving him an opportunity to respond to allegations levelled against him.

He said the Parliamentary panels did not have the authority to seek his dismissal.
