Corruption case filed against Uprety

KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority on Thursday filed a graft case against the then assistant manager of Nepal Electricity Authority Dhruba Kumar Uprety accusing him of amassing property illegally.

The case was filed at the Special Court under the Prevention of Corruption Act-2002.

The anti-graft body sought to recoup Rs 41,810,809 and has also named his wife Sandhya Lamichhane (Upreti) as a defendant in the case.
