Kathmandu, December 14

Guthi Sansthan, the body responsible for regulating financial and administrative matters of a majority of temples in the country, is seeking a role in the reconstruction of temples destroyed in the 2015 earthquakes.

According to officials of Guthi Sansthan, more than 80 per cent of the temples in Kathmandu Valley are under Guthi Sansthan’s purview. However, the body has been given no role in reconstruction process.
