Indian Ambassador calls on DPM Nidhi

KATHMANDU: Indian Ambassador Manjeev Singh Puri called on Deputy Prime Minister Bimalendra Nidhi at the latter’s office in Ministry of Home Affairs on Tuesday.

The duo held discussion on bilateral relationship between Nepal and India and the current political situation in Nepal, the DPM’s secretariat said in a statement.

DPM Nidhi, who heads the Ministry of Home Affairs, told the Indian diplomat about the logistical need that Nepal expects from India for the local level elections, according to the statement.

In response, Puri said Indian was ready to provide required support to Nepal.
