Inmate suffering from hypertension dies at hospital

KATHMANDU: A 40-year-old inmate died at the Bir Hospital on Monday.

According to police, Uttam Tamrakar, who hailed from Asan of Kathmandu, was rushed to the emergency ward of Bir Hospital from the Central Jail after he suffered from high blood pressure on Sunday.

He breathed his last during the course of treatment yesterday, police said.

Tamrakar faced foreign employment fraud charges and was detained at the Central Jail since July 31.
