Lama wins in Kathmandu-3 (A)

KATHMANDU: Tshering Dorje Lama of Nepali Congress has been elected in the State Assembly from Kathmandu-3 (A).

Lama emerged victorious by securing 6,448 votes while his rival Rudra Bahadur Baraili of left alliance managed to garner 5,335 votes, said Assistant Election Officer of Kathmandu-3 Baburam Bhattarai.

Currently, counting of votes of Kathmandu-3 (B) is ongoing where the left alliance candidate Rameshwor Phuyal is leading with narrow margin.

Meanwhile, left alliance candidate Jhakku Subedi is leading in the election to House of Representatives in Kathmandu-6. Subedi got 12,301 votes against his rival Bhimsen Das Pradhan.

Pradhan has secured 11,688 votes, Election Officer Pushpa Raj Pandey said.
