Beleagured Lharkyal Lama released on bail, arrested again

KATHMANDU: UCPN-Maoist lawmaker Lharkyal Lama, who was arrested after live bullets were found in his bank locker last week, was released on bail on Monday, only to be detained again by police.

As soon as he was released on bail, police took the controversial monk in custody from outside the Kathmandu DAO premises for his alleged involvement defrauding foreign job aspirants.

A fraud case was filed against Lama at Department of Foreign Investigation (DoFE) a couple of years ago by one of his alleged victims.

The beleaguered Lama has been handed over to DoFE.
