Maoist Centre urges UML to implement past pacts

KATHMANDU: The CPN Maoist Centre, a major coalition partner in the incumbent government, has urged the ruling CPN-UML to fully implement all the agreements made with it in the past.

The meeting of CPN MC Central Office held at the residence of Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Lazimpat, on Sunday has also requested the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's to implement the agreements and initiate the formation of national consensus government at the earliest.

The meeting has reached a conclusion that the formation of such government was necessary to address multifarious issues including implementing the Constitution, resolving differences with the agitating Madhesh-centric political parties and expediting the post-quake reconstruction drive among others, according to CPN MC Spokesperson Pampha Bhusal.

Furthermore, Spokesperson Bhusal shared that the meeting discussed the latest political situation, dialogues and discussion held with the UML in different times.

The recently held politburo meeting of the CPN MC had also stressed the formation of national unity government.
