KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Home Affairs on Friday expressed serious concern about the reaction to the engagement of the Nepali Army in riot-hit areas of the country.

A press statement issued by MoHA spokesman Laxmi Prasad Dhakal said, “The concerned local administrations may take the help of the army as and when Nepal Police alone cannot maintain law and order in the riot-hit areas as per the existing Local Administration Act.

We appeal to all not to spread rumours about the mobilisation of NA by twisting facts and legal provisions.”
