BHAKTAPUR: Two persons died after the motorcycle they were riding on collided head-on with a bus at Suryavinayak chok in Bhaktapur last night.

The deceased have been identified as motorcyclist Sudarshan Timalsina (35) of Panauti in Kavre district and pillion rider Yelisha Adhikari (18) of Chitwan district.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Jagati Shishu Sharma at Metropolitan Police Circle, a bus (Ba 9 Kha 9454) heading to Banepa hit a motorcycle (Ba 80 Pa 6959) coming from the opposite direction killing the motorcycle riders on Thursday night.

Seriously injured Timalsina and Adhikari were pronounced dead by the doctors at Bhaktapur Hospital when the two were rushed to the hospital after the incident.

Meanwhile, bus driver Sanam Shrestha (33) of Banepa  has been detained and further investigations have been initiated.
