KATHMANDU: A man died after a motorcycle he was riding on collided with a tipper lorry in Dhalku, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-17 this morning.

Police identified the deceased as Anil Gurung (30) of Dhobichaur in KMC-17.

The lorry (Ba 3 Kha 4220) laden with garbage waste heading towards Sorhakhutte from Dallu hit the motorcycle (Ba 59 Pa 6867) injuring Gurung, at Dhalku, at around 10:55 am today.

The injured succumbed to injuries at 11:15 am during the course of treatment at Thamel-based Manmohan Memorial Community Hospital, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Jaya Raj Sapkota at Metropolitan Traffic Police Division (MTPD),

Meanwhile, police have impounded the four-wheeler and detained its driver for further investigation.
