NRA meeting fails to steer reconstruction course

KATHMANDU: The National Reconstruction Authority's (NRA) Steering Committee's meeting held at Singha Durbar in Kathmandu on Sunday was unable to take any concrete decision.

The meeting rather ended with a decision to meet on Monday afternoon again.

During the meeting, the NRA Chief Executive Officer Sushil Gyewali had informed about progresses of the Authority and future plans.

The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

Meanwhile, secretaries of various ministries including the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of General Administration, the Ministry of Urban Development, the Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development, and the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation shared their reports about progresses they made and persisting problems their respective ministries faced on reconstruction.

NRA Steering Committee members Nimananda Rijal, Kishor Thapa, Tara Nidhi Bhattrai had spoken about problems and challenges of the Authority, according to the PM's Secretariat.
