NC to review party's position in elections

KATHMANDU: The main opposition Nepali Congress (NC)'s central working committee (CWC) meeting is scheduled to take place at 11:00 am today to thoroughly review the party's defeat in the elections to the House of Representatives and Province Assemblies.

The CWC would review the party's unexpected defeat in the polls, NC's spokesperson Bishwa Prakash Sharma was quoted as saying in Rastriya Samachar Samiti.

This would be the first meeting of the NC with the agenda for discussions regarding the party's defeat, while it is the fifth central working committee meeting after the elections.

Spokesperson Sharma said there would be a thorough review in today's meeting about the elections results though erstwhile meeting held normal discussions.

He also shared that the meeting would fix the date and venue for the party's mahasamiti meeting.
