NCP (NCP) briefs its HoR, NA members on deal signed with Dr KC

KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has briefed its parliamentary party about the agreement signed with Dr Govinda KC regarding the Medical Education Bill.

During the meeting held at Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar this morning, Parliamentary Party Deputy-Leader Subash Chandra Nembang briefed the meeting about the agreement, Rastriya Samachar Samiti reported.

On the occasion, Nembang said that the agreement has accepted parliamentary process and supremacy.

He said, they now expect that the main opposition lawmakers expressing dissatisfaction over Medical Education Bill would not obstruct House proceedings after the deal with agitating doctor KC.

Present on the occasion were Prime Minister and Co-Chair of NCP (NCP) KP Sharma Oli, Co-Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal, and members of the House of Representatives and National Assembly of the party.

Dr KC, who had been staging fast-unto-death for 27-days, ended his strike on Thursday late night after signing a nine-point agreement with the government.

A meeting of the House of Representatives has been called for 1:00 pm today.
