KATHMANDU: The Chinese State Councilor and Minister of National Defence, General Chang Wanquan, who is on a three-day visit to Nepal, met the Chief of Army Staff Rajendra Chhetri at the Nepal Army Headquarters in Kathmandu on Friday.

The Chinese Defence Minister and the Nepal Army Chief discussed issues of the mutual interests and bilateral relations between the neighbours, according to a press statement issued today.

Before this, a Nepal Army troop had offered a guard of honour to him at the NA Headquarters.

Meanwhile, the Chinese Minister also visited the Tundikhel-based army pavilion today and laid a wreath at the Bir Memorial.
