KATHMANDU: Police arrested a man in possession of a red panda hide from Chabahil, KMC-6 on Wednesday.

Police identified the suspect as Bikash BK (21) of Tulsipur, Dang.

He is said to be currently residing at Narayantar in Jorpati of Kathmandu.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Crime Division (MPCD) nabbed BK while he was searching for a prospective client to sell the hide of endangered animal.

Police said that BK has been sent to the District Forest Office, Harrisar, for investigation.
