BHAKTAPUR: A pedestrian died after a truck driven by the conductor hit him in Bhaktapur district this afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as Binod Rai (26) of Sisneri-6 in Okhaldhunga district, currently living at Jagati, Bhaktapur.

The accident took place when the brick-loaded truck (Ba 3 Kha 77) hit Rai. He died while undergoing treatment at Madhyapur Hospital, said Deputy Superintendent of Police at the Metropolitan Police Circle, Devendra Pal.

He added that the conductor Dawa Tamang (19) of Nuwakot district, has been arrested and the vehicle has been impounded.
