KATHMANDU: Police on Tuesday said that a pillion rider has died of her injuries after being hit by a truck at Tinpiple of Tarkeshwor Municipality-3, on the norther outskirts of Kathmandu last night.

The victim Anusha Tamang of Koshipari Kartike Deurali in Kavre district, breathed her last at the People's Hospital in Naya Bazaar today, according to police.

Police said a truck (Ba 2 Kha 5053) had hit a two-wheeler (Ba 70 Pa 2618) on Monday night in the area.

Meanwhile, police have impounded the vehicle and rounded its driver for further investigation.
