PM consults Thapa, Gachhadar in search of headway

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushil Koirala consulted leaders of two opposition parties with a view to finding an appropriate solution of the existing political crisis, on Wednesday.

The Prime Minister held separate meetings with chairs of Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal and Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum-Democratic, Kamal Thapa and Bijay Kumar Gachhadar respectively.

PM's press coordinator Prakash Adhikari said the leaders discussed ongoing constitution writing process, protests carried out by various parties in the nation against the draft constitution and preparation for talks with them.

During the meeting, Koirala sought cooperation from all parties and stakeholders to solve the crisis and keep the protests peaceful.

He also assured the leaders that a constitution is a dynamic document which can be amended as per the need of time, Adhikari informed.

Nepali Congress leader and Minister for Forests and Soil Conservation Mahesh Acharya was also present in the meeting.
