PM Oli directs public service officials to work passionately

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has directed government officials to work actively in public service leaving behind typical practices of general administration.

Speaking at a meeting at Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Minister, PM Oli called on all the members of the ministerial councils and secretaries and remarked that the government cannot be run the usual way so the officials need to work with high morality.

“Government’s work should reflect pace of development, commitment towards people and dreams of prosperous Nepal and buoyant Nepali citizens,” PM Oli said, “Lackluster attitude towards work won’t suffice.”

Moreover, the Prime Minister said that Nepal has to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 while asking civil servants to work towards that end.

According to Minister for Foreign Affairs, Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, the prime minister remarked that the government was established to fulfill the dreams of economic prosperity and directed officials to carry out result oriented work keeping the people in focal point.
