PM Oli makes sudden inspection at TIA

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli went to the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) for a sudden inspection on Tuesday afternoon.

According to his Secretariat, the Prime Minister went to the country's only international airport for the inspection after a viewer asked him a question about the TIA's management on a Nepal Television show last Saturday.

He was accompanied by Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Ananda Prasad Pokhrel and State Minister for Tourism Bala Bahadur Mahat.

After the inspection, Prime Minister Oli directed the authorities to expand the waiting lounge, install proper scanning machines and CCTVs, and add required equipment to efficiently deal with the crowd for on-arrival visa.
