PM Oli receives Bhaitika from sisters

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Friday received Tika and blessings from his elder and younger sisters - Bishnu Devi Siwakoti and Bishnu Maya Dhakal respectively - at the auspicious hour of 11:55 am on the occasion of Bhaitika festival.

PM Oli received Tika at the official residence of the Prime Minister in Baluwatar and gifted presents to his sisters, which included Dakshina (money) and other items.

PM Koirala also extended greetings to all brothers and sisters on the occasion of Bhai tika saying this is the festival to show intimacy among brothers and sisters.

"Our festivals are related to furthering – in a well managed way – our social structure, construction and relations," PM Oli said adding, "I would like to extend greetings to the Nepali people, who are celebrating with the beauty of flowers and blissful climate despite the difficult scenario."

The PM's political advisor Bishnu Rimal and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
