PM urges secys to work in result-oriented manner

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has directed government secretaries to work in a result-oriented manner.

Speaking at an interaction at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on progress and challenges of the current budget today, PM Oli directed them to make necessary preparations to reach 80 per cent expenditure progress within remaining two months of the fiscal.

However, the progress of development expenditure was only 18 per cent as of mid-April.

On the occasion, PM Oli inquired the status of budget expenditure with the secretaries.

In response, secretaries said that last year's earthquake, border blockade and obstruction in project implementation process delayed the developmental projects and expenditure.
