Police beats restored

KATHMANDU: Nepal Police on Sunday said all police units and beats that were vacated in riot-hit districts a few days ago have been restored. A press statement issued by Central Police Spokesperson DIG Kamal Singh Bam informed that such police units have started operating from their respective places. More than three dozen police units had been temporarily shifted from the riot-hit districts, including Kailali, Dang and Rautahat after the death of eight policemen and a child in a clash with demonstrators in Tikapur.
