Prez appoints Pokhrel and Yadav as deputy prime ministers

KATHMANDU: In a bid to rearrange the hierarchy after inclusion of Federal Socialist Forum Nepal (FSFN) in the government, President Bidya Devi Bhandari, on the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, has appointed two deputy prime ministers, today.

Upendra Yadav, who was inducted as Minister for Health and Population earlier today, and Ishwor Pokhrel (Minister for Defence) have been appointed as deputy prime ministers of Nepal.

Likewise, State Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Gokul Baskota was promoted from state minister to Minister for Communication and Information Technology after inclusion of FSFN in the government.
